David Hicks

A lifelong boater from Toms River, New Jersey, David was raised in a family where nearly every summer weekend was spent on the water. His upbringing revolved around boating, and by the age of 10, he had already experienced a wide range of waterways across the country. The sights and sounds of the ocean still bring him back to those early memories—experiences that ultimately inspired his career in yachting.

After high school, David enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served alongside naval meteorologists and gained the opportunity to see the world from coastlines across the globe. His time in the military instilled discipline, perspective, and a strong appreciation for the water.

Following his service, David studied business management and launched his own contracting business. While successful, he realized his true passion was building relationships and working directly with clients. In 2007, he transitioned into the yachting industry, starting a yacht management company before becoming a full-time captain aboard a 70' Hatteras in 2010.

Today, David combines his experience as a captain, business owner, and lifelong boater to guide clients through every stage of the process. He understands that boating is about creating lasting memories with family and friends, and he takes pride in helping clients find the right vessel to support those experiences.
