Morgan Bertram

Morgan Bertram was born into one of the most iconic families in the yachting industry, led by his father, Richard “Dick” Bertram. From an early age, boating was a central part of family life, with Morgan and his siblings serving as crew aboard the family’s yachts. These vessels were not only part of their lifestyle but also instrumental in showcasing the Bertram brand—where maintaining “immaculate” condition was a standard instilled from a young age.

Encouraged to understand every aspect of yachting, Morgan began sailing at just seven years old and quickly progressed into competitive racing. By age ten, he was racing alongside his father on Biscayne Bay, and at seventeen, he competed in offshore races from Newport to Bermuda before continuing across the Atlantic to Greece aboard an 80-foot maxi sail racer. Along the way, he experienced some of yachting’s most unique moments, including time spent with renowned figures in the maritime world.

Morgan continued his education aboard The Flint School, a high school at sea, traveling throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. After graduating, he remained active in competitive sailing, participating in prestigious events such as the America’s Cup trials, Sardinia Cup, Maxi Worlds, Kenwood Cup, and the San Francisco Big Boat Series.

Following college, Morgan earned his captain’s license and captained charter vessels in the Caribbean before transitioning into yacht brokerage. Over the years, he has worked across multiple facets of the industry, including new and brokerage sales, and eventually founded his own successful yacht sales company. His career has included representing a wide range of vessels—from classic sportfishing yachts to large luxury yachts exceeding 140 feet.

Today, Morgan brings decades of experience, deep industry knowledge, and a legacy rooted in yachting excellence to every client relationship. He is known for his dedication to understanding each client’s unique needs and takes pride in delivering a highly personalized experience. Much of his business comes through referrals, reflecting the long-term relationships and trust he has built throughout his career.

Morgan is a member of the International Yacht Brokers Association and has been recognized with multiple industry honors, including Salesman of the Year distinctions. He lives in North Palm Beach with his two children, Cameron and Eva, and continues to share his lifelong passion for boating with clients and family alike.
