Spencer Markatos

Born and raised in upstate New York, Spencer built a successful career owning and operating a large residential real estate firm for nearly three decades. A graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in business, he has also been a lifelong boating enthusiast and experienced boat owner.

With a background rooted in sales and firsthand experience as a boat owner, transitioning into yacht brokerage was a natural next step when he and his family relocated to Florida in 1999. Drawing on the many similarities between real estate and yacht sales, Spencer brings a high level of professionalism, market knowledge, and client care—while embracing the unique excitement that comes with helping clients find the perfect boat.

His time on the water includes sailing the Chesapeake Bay and fishing from Montauk to the Bahamas, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how different boats serve different lifestyles. This experience allows him to guide clients toward the right vessel based on how they truly plan to use it.
